The new FISH Deletion Detection Probe set (DDP) from CymoGen Dx has been designed primarily for FISH analysis of sections of formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue in human solid tumors.  Deletions are common when cancer is present, and loss of tumor suppressor genes (such as PTEN, RB1, p16, p53 etc) may be of crucial research significance.
